csa Reassessment form

Hi guys just before Xmas the csa assessed me but unfortunately for me I done lots of overtime.
before you ask I messed up I was paying £265 a month’ and thought now I’m married with 1 stepchild and a child with my wife’ the payments may come down but I was wrong I now pay £400 a month so have decided to refrain from the overtime and get the csa to asses me’ I have to wait until I get 2 months wage slips but wondered if there’s a form that I can prefill so I’m ready’ also is it worth me asking them to reassess my ex's income as she’s married and believe that they both work my son is 14 and i have been paying since he was born

Thanks guys

  • You don't need to pre-fill in a form. Just notify the CSA from day 1 of the lesser/no overtime period & follow this up with an email or letter sent by recorded delivery to confirm this. Try if possible, to give them an estimate of your expected earnings without the high amounts of overtime.

Keep copies of all correspondence sent & received. Then, after you receive your 2 months slips, send them off straight away.

By doing it this way, the CSA should backdate your lower payments to the date that you first notified them. If you don't notify them before you send the slips in, then it cannot be backdated.
