evening all!
i went br in nov 2009, in my telephone interview the OR said they wouldn't be applying a nil tax code as it would take too long to sort out. however, the payroll department at work rang me to say they had received notification of nil tax code. i rang hmrc and they said yes it had been applied because of the br.
what do i do now then? OR didn't give me any details about moonbeever as they weren't applying the nil tax. do i wait for moonbeever to contact me?
thanks lovely peeps
ps payroll dept lady said ooh all that extra money, handbags and shoes! i said err yeah thinking you don't know the half of it love i don't think so! LOL

If I was you confused .. evening by the way
I would send the OR an email just to let them know that the NT code actually has been applied.. what ever happens from then on - who knows with Moonbeever, they're the bain of my life at the minute but I guess they're so busy with us all. Just cover your back with OR, that's your first port of call I reckon. 0 -
Sounds like a !!!! up somewhere....ring/email your OR to double check moonbeever may not have your details yetFriends help you move. Real friends help you move bodies.

I remember a post about Nil Tax Codes...
HMRC will automatically give you a NT code when you are B/R.
And if the OR feels it will take too long to set up payments with MB (because it's too close to April).
And has confirmed that they don't want any payments.
You get to keep the money.0 -
thanks all lovely peeps...i will email the OR tomorrow...
script i read that too somewhere but i daren't get my hopes up
i'll email OR and take it from there
could really do without the hassle of the NT
the payroll lady at work was desperate to know why, she didn't ask but i could tell!!
x
ps mich....well spotted

Hi confused, script is correct, it is HMRC that apply the code not the OR, they do this automatically and the OR just decides if they are going to collect the money from you. At this time of the year it is unlikely that they will try to collect. You will know if they are going to collect because they will send you a form with IPA on the top that you sign and send back. The OR cannot instruct Moonbeever without you signing that and so if you have not had one moonbeever wont pop up and ask for the money.
All this means that you will be able to keep the money, although it is usually a good idea to keep it safe for a while in case they have just been slow sending the forms out (unlikely at this time of the year though)Hi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.
