Gap Year

Could someone please help me with this question. Do I still need to pay child maintenance for a child of 16 taking a gap year from full time education - she will be returning after this for a further 2 years of full time education which means my maintenance will be extended by a full one year - I am struggling to pay this and was not consulted about the gap year so just wonder if I have to pay for this extra year.

If she is not in full-time education and no child benefit is paid to PWC then I understand you are not liable. Also you at present are liable for CS up to 19th birthday so if she turns 19 before completing studies you will only be liable to that date
