Second Interview

Hi Guys!
I am currently looking for a new job as finish my maternity cover position at the end of next week! I went for an interview last week and was told that if successful I would be contacted "sometime next week" to arrange a second interview.
On the day I felt like I had had a really good interview and was really confident, however, as the days have gone on I'm starting to get nervous that perhaps not! I have never had to go for a 2nd interview so don't know how long it takes to draw up a list of interviewees to invite back. It will be a week tomorrow since my interview, they said they were interviewing for the first couple of days this week so thought I may hear something perhaps today.
How long do you usually have to wait?
Chewing my fingernails off here! Ha ha

Dont stress!
I had an interview earlier in the month and they were supposed to be having me in for an induction last week but never got back to me as of yet! I dont need that job though since I start another soon so not a problem but I would just say dont stress about it. If its meant to happen it will.

I have rang the company today to ask whether they have any feedback re: my interview - they said they haven't made a decision yet as to who to invite back for a second interview but she would chase the manager for a decision and let me know. Good news?
In the meantime the position I am working in at the moment have asked if I will stay on with them until the end of February now. They have kept extending my maternity leave cover month by month (feb will be the last month tho) and I'm just concerned that if I sign a contract I'll be tied to them for the month and if I get this second interview (or any others ive applied for) then they probably won't want to wait for over a month when I've told them I'm available come feb. Could I agree to stay on the condition that if I get a permanent role offer then I can give them a weeks notice and therefore finish early?
