Just to keep those of you who know us, how our appeals etc are progressing.

History is that as hubs (NRP) is s/e PWC lost a Tribunal she took us to regarding income inconsistent with earnings, so she then involved Criminal Compliance, they looked at our bank statements, took all credits into the account as hubs assessable income, made an assessment then backdated it 6 years, and slapped us with 34k arrears, a LO, CCJ and charge on our house. BUT CSA as usual made loads of mistakes, the credits they included as NRP assessable income, were NRPP monthly company expense reimbursement, child benefit for 4 children in NRP/NRPP household, CSA monies for NRPP 2 ds to 1st hubs etc etc.

CSA appeals agree the assessments are incorrect, a 2004 decision has been changed wiping 5k off the arrears, and we are awaiting a Triunal date to sort the rest out.

In the meantime hubs requested clarification that his 2 dd to PWC were still in full-time education (17 and 19yrs), apparently no child benefit has been paid to the PWC since Sept 09 (so youngest has left education), and the CSA are investigating as to when the 19year old dd ceased education as it may have been at any point from 2006 - 09! Also at no point was the carer element of the assessment altered as the children got older, so that has also been requested.

Following child benefit payments ceasing to PWC, CSA have rang her several times requesting documentary evidence of any full-time education by youngest dd, nothing has materialised, so case closed as of Sept 09 . Seems even they annoyed she trying to pull the wool over their eyes as well as ours

We dare to hope our nightmare will soon be over, but CSA being what they are (incompetent fools!!!!!!!), we doubt it, but least a step in the right direction, all we want is a correct assessment, and ackdated to 2004 as correct!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Glad to hear you are having some positive results with your case, sounds a absolute nightmare, I hope ours doesn't get that bad I don't think I could be as stong as you obviously have and for so long!

Alwayspuzzled, don't know about being strong! My hubs (NRP) and I (NRPP) have been through a living hell thanks to the CSA mistakes. We have had to explain to our children to lock doors at all times, as bailiffs were knocking for 34k arrears we know and have proven we do not owe - except CSA Enforcement 'lost ' our proof, funny especially seeing as they are paid bonus on monies recouperated, whether they genuine arrears or not!

So, we have won this small battle but not the war, but I'll be da***d if we are gonna lose our home through some wet nose white collar worker making massive silly mistakes which are then enforced as the bent system will not correct them. We have always paid CS and are not non-compliant, only got thst title when CSA wanted over £800 per month, which is total wage of NRP??? We still pay every month, just not the figure they quote until Tribunal hearing.

We have had horrendous times, arguments, and nearly split on several occasions due to the CSA mistakes, ut then all that would achieve is more children living without their fathers, the loss of a man I love, and yet another potential CSA blunder case, for what?? As both a PWC and NRPP, I see both sides of the coin,but have never experienced such incompetence, the scary thing being this incompetence is enforced to the death - literally.

but you are still hanging on in there, shouts strength to me! I know what you mean though, when previous allegations (not csa related) caused my unborn daughter to be placed on the CPR I was so close to calling it a day, if it hadn't been for the knowledge a a split up was exactly what they wanted I might have given up.
