I just recently moved abroad with my partner.. as yet I am no working but my o/h is.. before I left the uk I set up DD with all the credit card and loan companies that I had contact with... It has now come to light that I had a debt with another company.. (Since I'd had no contact with them for over a year I guess it just slipped my mind about them) This company has been sending mail to my parents house which was where I had been staying for a few months before I moved.. I dont want to get out of paying this debt.. just right now I cant afford to pay them, so maybe when one of my debts is paid in a few months I will contact this other company and use that money that I will be now saving to start paying them .. What I would like to know is can this company chase me while i'm abroad and will they start bombarding my new address with mail and demands for payment..

I guess that depends where you've moved to.
There was new legislation from the EU at the start of the year to allow debts to be pursued easier in other EU countries and the UK has recipricol agreements with Canada and Germany. If you are in any other country then there is nothing they can really do.
I would suggest you write to the company and inform them that you are living abroad and will attempt to arrange repayments once you are settled in employment. You may be able to make them a reduced Full and Final Settlement offer too - do not accept a partial or short settlement though. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91

I would tell your folks to just send the letters back - no longer at this address.
They may try to pursue this through the British courts, but this would result only in you having a CCJ which would not impact on your credit file abroad - only your British one. I doubt they would try to file for bankruptcy as it would cost them money to do so and they would get nothing out of it.
I would just try to save some money to put towards the debt and then make a reduced full and final settlement offer - there are templates on the board when you need them. After falling off the gambling wagon (twice): £33,600 (24,000+ 9,600) - Original CC Debt: £7,885.91
