Could you loose weight if you were offered a lot of money!

It is only a matter of time before Hannah Waterman puts it all back on again, like Natalie Cassidy .I HAD lost 4 stone between June & October but now i am back up again by 2 stone ,i kept telling myself to get back on track but i never could.
My Intension of the New Year did'nt happen either, facing freezing cold walks was unbearable, but today i am going to try again ,after the school run out with the dogs ,the hot toast usually wins though .

I just wish i could be like Hannah Waterman ,because i know i can do it ,it would be easy money i need that big insentive although looking and feeling better should be enough it would be great to have thousands of pounds as an added bonus.

Anyway todays another day hope i can give it ago ,its the first couple of days that are the hardest !

Would you like to be offererd money to loose weight ,obviously only applies to people overweight by a few stone?

Money wouldnt work for me, its the pressure thing, although not a popular view at the moment I dont work well in a team or with deadlines etc I find being left to do my own thing in my own time works well, a huge muffin top hanging over jeans is enough incentive for me;)
Thank you for this site Martin
The time for change has come
    Good luck for the future

I'd think most people could lose weight if they were offered money to do so. The trickey part is not putting it back on again - I mean, look at Natalie Cassidy. Poor thing's yo-yo'd up and down recently.

The secret about losing weight is this... you've got to want to do it for you, not for your husband/boyfriend/life partner/millions of pounds. That's a recipe for failure - because you haven't yet grasped that you're worth losing weight for. Don't try to please anyone else, because it'll never happen. You'll never please everyone all of the time, just be happy in yourself. Then you'll be able to lose weight and keep it off.

    Good luck :)

I am the same WW etc do nothing for me.

What did though was my doctor saying you have type2 diabetes and you need to lose weight. Sent to a dietican who said lose it slow and these are foods to eat and these are foods to avoid. I have lost 3stone since last summer and its still going down by just watching what I eat looking at packets and the sugar and salt content. Not eating the wrong foods and ignoring the diet foods that promise drop a dress size in a month. I have one day off a week and have curry and wine.

So my weight lost might not be as fabulous or as fast as some but it will stay off in the end.

Also Hannah etc have their own dieticans, trainers and even people cooking for them.

Quick fixes dont work and that is all these celebs in most cases do. Paid to lose the weight and show us all how to do it. The key is actually learning about your food and exercise as you are dieting and working out. The more you understand the more it will impact on changing your life. Money isn't the factor in losing weight and maintaining it.

I totally agree with a big insentive most people could do it,long term is a totally different story.

I had the right frame of mind and was convinced i could do it but no i failed again, don't think i will ever do it its madness because healthy food is actually nice and exercise makes you feel great afterwards.
But if your not in the right frame of mind i cant walk past the fridge without seeing whats inside to eat.
I need a kick start but its not there at the moment!

Things that would motivate me to lose weight:
    Lots of money
    Getting married
Being told I had to for medical reasons
Becoming allergic to certain foods/being placed on a restricted diet
    Umm...

Things that do not motivate me:
No specific deadline/event as a target (like now! I know I'm going on hols soon but even that is not really doing it)

Ironically I actually find it easier to keep weight off than lose it. I was slim for years before this weight started to creep on when I met OH and it was that first year of our relationship that did it - all that EATING! And now that 1.5 stone is hard to shift.

Have you got a local Rosemary Conelly class you can go to. There great for when you are intiailly starting out and motivating as you will meet others who are in a simular position too. Rosemary Conellys plans arent just diet plans but they help teach you about the foods you are putting into your body and why it is good and essential for you.

I would defo recomend this route to kick start you and if you pick up her magazines she has some fab recipes in. As you will see you dont have to eat rabbit food to be healthy lol

Just read your post back, especially the bit I've highlighted. Why not use that as your starting point? I might cut it out and paste it to the fridge myself!!!

Realtionships when starting out are so good but defo bad for the waist line when you have a bf with a perfect metabolism lol
