Tesco points question

I need £430 of tesco vouchers so I was wondering if this scheme would work.....
At the mo there is 1000 pts for electrical purchases over £50. If (as an example) there was an item for £51 I would get 1051 points. If I bought 41 items (in separate transactions) I would have 43091 points or £430.91 in vouchers .....I sthis correct or do they only give you the 1000 points once per customer?
Thanks in advance!
(oh and before anyone says-yes it would mean spending £2091 but then those items could be sold on at a carboot or ebay for return of cash....peut etre?)

  • you can only use the voucher once per account. so in order to get that many points you would need to set up 41 accounts at your address.

I always wondered if you bought an item which had extra points and then returned the item for a refund whether they would deduct the points off you ?

This seems to depend on the person who does the refund, I have never had points taken off when I've returned anything but others have said they have.

I did something similar with the I-pods, but this was just an instore offer. Every i-pod gave you 1043 points (worth £41.72) and I sold my i-pods on ebay for about £10 under their cash price, so I "made" over £30 on each one. But this was just an offer on the product and didn't rely on voucher codes or anythign like that. You might be better just waiting for something else like this to come along?
