bankruptcy in doubt

as some of you might be aware i am thinking along the lines of bankruptcy.

i am beginning ti feel scared of the consequences of being bankrupt. is there something else i can look toward with which i can make small fee toward my debt. any suggestion will be appreciated.

    I don't know the history of your posts so sorry if this has already been said, but have you spoken to the debt charities yet? If not, that is your first port of call.

    Once you have done that, post some more precise concerns here and we will be able to help with them.

    Do you mean something like an IVA? where you pay something a month to clear part of your debts rather than a BR?

    Hi Shabana

    I can't give much advice as I am in a very similar situation to you, I am very up and down as what to do.

    I did speak to the CAB, CCCS and National Debt Helpline, as well as coming on here. The Debt charities are all helpful and they can give you some good advice, which you will also get from being on here and some great support.

    I know how you feel it is not something to be taken lightly and I too am scared, it would mean loosing my house along with many other things, but then I think this will be something that will last for a few years, it will make me appreciate how to save and never be flippant with money again. It will be a tough few years.......

    No one can make the decision for you, just make sure you get all the advice you can and sit down down and decide how you want to proceed.

    thanks sunny looloo, im going to speak to some at the CAB on monday. im still stuck dont really want to go bankrupt as it last too long and could lose my house.

    im not even sure what other options there are. Feel so lost.
