kettle descaling - citric acid?

The water is damm hard around here - but a dessertspoon in a boiled kettle did the trick nicely - not so much fizzing & faffing as with vinegar. Definite thumbs-up IMO - and cheaper than white vinegar!0

Believe it or not I use lemonade - put it in the kettle, boil and leave over night rinse out a few times in the morning, boil again pour out and rinse again - did mine today it worked!
I use the cheapest supermarket one at 17p it 's a bargainBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light
