Career Development Loan & Student Loan!

Hi, this is my very first time in here and i wondered if anyone could help me.
im currently studying for my final year at University and applied for a student loan before i started the year. however i STILL haven't received confirmation from the student loans company to say that they will definitley fund my course. I've already spoken to them and they say they are still processing the application (along with another 60,000 or so) and that i just need to wait a little longer.
My course fees have had to be paid via a loan from my parents (which they're not too happy about as you can imagine). they are paid by monthly installments to the university. When (or even if) my student loan is approved it will be paid directly to the university and then they in turn will refund my parents money.
now the question...
my parents REALLY can't afford to loan me the money for the course so i wanted to know if i could apply for a Career Development Loan from either Barcleys or Co-op to pay my tuition fees and thus refund my parents. im still unsure whether or not the SLC will fund my course as they still haven't approved my application!! will there be any problems in applying for the two diiferent loans? i know you can't apply for 2 CDL's at the same time so i just wondered if the same rules applied.

thanks for reading and for any help you may have.
