Beans are Heinz - but not as cheap as Branston offer atm which are 4 for 89p - cheers op - still cheap may get some more to add too the bean mountain

Heinz were cheaper than Branston in Asda too but I've really gone off Heinz. Too much sauce to beans. I've become a Branston convert.
  • Just out of interest can you freeze beans onced youve opened a tin?

Surely 10 would come up on their tills as bulk buying  Have had trouble when have tried buying anymore than 9 of something on offer with them.

There's nothing on the tills for bulk buying or any hard and fast rules, it's simply common sense (although checkout staff do lack that sometimes). Generally you can buy as many canned goods as you like as theres thousands of cans in the back room or on the shelves.

Bulk buying restrictions are normally applied to fresh stuff (we can often get hotels and restaraunts who have forgotten to order come in and try to clear the shelves of milk and eggs for example), items in limited supply and / or on a really good promotion, which it sounds like you've been stopped for in the past.
  • I got 2 lots of the offer(20 Tins) and they were ok about it.
  • Jut been to Tesco in Banbury and they had no stock of Hienz beans or speghetti. I went to the customer service desk, much to the embarressment of my 15 year old. they gave me a voucher for the offer to be used when there is stock. handy to know i thought. the voucher has no expiry but i must buy ten cans to get the offer
  • Got another 20 Tins today so now got 40 Tins at Home now!!!!
  • Thanks for this-going to pop into my local tomorrow and stock up. Offer ends 26th jan.

I haven't had Heinz beans for years ,used to be my fave brand ,stopped buying them when the price got silly !!
Got some recently and they do not taste like I remember ,in fact they were vile ,tasted a bit like stale water :(
Much prefer Branston beans and they are always on offer somewhere for a pound or less for 4 :)
