I have spent the last two terms of my evening class in dressmaking making a dress to wear for a wedding this weekend. I have chosen a white crepe de chine fabric with large pink, orange and dark blue polka dots on it. http://www.macculloch-wallis.co.uk/Product.aspx/Prints!5001/YELLOW (only in the colours above). I handwashed it yesterday afternoon, left it too long in the sink and now the dark blue has run into the white of the fabric and some of the pink polka dots. I rinsed it in cold water and it has now dried overnight. I could kick myself as i thought as i washed it, oh I bet this runs a bit. Then got distracted and promptly forgot about it.
Can anyone suggest how i can get the blue dye out of where it shouldn't be in time for saturday?
Thanks so much!

Oh what a shame. There are a few threads on the MEGA index about dye running through to clothes. Sorry I cannot do those link things with any success, however if you have a look there you will find some suggestions. Many advocate Colour Glo Run stuffy.

Thanks for these useful links, it's nice to see that this sort of thing happens to us all at some time. I couldn't find the recommended glo colour run treatment and so settled for Dylon instead. Problem is it recommends a machine wash at 60 C for the best results, but this is crepe de chine and I don't think it will take kindly to that - has anyone tried handwashing with one of these colour run treatments?Debt Oct 2005: £32,692.94
