I wanna: Apple store vouchers

I am going to blow several k on a gorgeous new Mac.
Can anyone reduce the cost a little for me?

No voucher codes I have seen here or on any other other voucher site currently work.

I don't have any codes for you, but can tell you how I managed to get a great discount when purchasing a MacBookPro a few weeks ago

Simply find out what model Mac you want and then ring up their sales line. You should be able to negotiate a discount with the person on the phone

I said to the sales person I was maybe thinking of buying a Sony Vaio, but might get an Apple if the price was right. I got £200 knocked off after a few minutes

Alternatively, if you are in school/higher education/university I think you can get a discount via Apple's Education Store:
    http://www.apple.com/uk/education/shop/

Finally, if all else fails, quidco can earn you 3% cashback, which on a £2000 computer is £60

Thank you for giving me the bottle to talk to them. I had a long chat and I have saved £569 on a £3364 spend.
Their margins mustn't be that bad then. Sod the vouchers, use the Blarney!
