Louise , I have found the need for packagers dissappear with self cert, sub prime and btl deals being removed from the market.

The only time I have used a packager in the last year was for a Beacon Sub Prime deal and now they have left the market.

Packagers hold up the process so if you can deal direct with a lender I would do so.

As stated above most packagers have now left the market.

Out of interest I use BDS.

  • Vigilant so you not even man enough to say what you do. Dont worry about this topic no more, their are far more helpful people than you.

Vigilant I ask yo uagain where does it say in the FSA guidelines I must know the ins and out of packagers. No where!

Obiviously with me asking the question it can be seen I know about packagers and in general I know what they do, however you speak with packagers and what they do all seems good however I was trying to gauge the other side of the coin.

I suspect you are a very quiet mortgage broker with no clients so just being a pain in the !!!! for no reason.
  • TMSL - thank you. Thats the kind of feedback I was interested. I wanted to see if they 'added any value'

we used pavillion securities as our packager for our beacon mortgage earlier in 2009 and they were pretty good .... i know beacon are not doing any new lending but ... if they ever do we had no problems even though my broker did most of the dealings as they dont deal direct with people like me "customers"

good look in your quest for answers and hopefully not rudeness

    kind regards

    Aimz
