It seems expensive at £10/500ml (from an internet health food shop)
Thanks

You can definitely get it cheaper than that!
I think I got my last bottle from Waitrose, for about £3 - it is gorgeous, btw, thinner and less cloying than other syrups, and much better for your blood sugar levels...
Now (she said pondering) do Holland and Barrett stock it these days or will you need an online source if you're not near a Waitrose/other posh shop...?0 -
Hi,
I've found it much cheaper than that in both Asda, Tesco and H & B.
I'be bought it in supermarlets mostly and I don't think I've paid over £2 for 250ml. Possibly what you were looking at was 'raw' agave syrup as this can be very expensive?

I'm sure I've seen this in Waitrose. It doesn't have such a bad effect on your blood sugar as sugar. My Mum is diabetic and I first became aware of agave syrup when whe was visiting & I wanted a nice dessert (she likes all the wrong things like we all tend to) she could enjoy. I found a diabetic icecream with forest fruits at our farm shop, made by a local dairy. I had a look at the ingredients and the sweetner was agave syrup. The ice cream was nice, just tasted like a not-too-sweet top of the range farm ice cream. I looked up agave syrup and found that it can be used to sweeten all kinds of things. Actually, I think I've talked myself into going to Waitrose myself & trying to get some.2025's challenges: 1) To fill our 10 Savings Pots to their healthiest level ever

Hi
I bought it in tesco, approx £2 for 250 ml, have also seen it in waitrose. It is very sweet so a little goes a long way. My boys have it in drinks - tea/coffee instead of sugar as others have said it is better for you than refined white sugar HTH0 -
I've only ever seen it in health food shops and as it was horrendously expensive I've steered clear of it. I'll check in Tesco next time I'm in (our local Shoprite won't stock anything like that).
ETA just checked on mysupermarket and it is roughly in the £2.46 for 250ml range (except Sainsbugs which is a bit more expensive)0 -
thanks all, will pop into waitrose when I have time0
