Hi all,
Not sure if its your thing at all but there is going to be a benefit gig on 31st January from 3pm-midnight £10 in at the Spring&Airbrake, Limelight and Katy Daly's to raise funds for the Disasters Emergency Committee, with 100% profits of the doors and all funds raised going to Haiti.
There are over 50 local bands performing, I think the lists are being prepared and being announced on https://www.belfast4haiti.com or on their twitter https://www.twitter.com/belfast4haiti and there is a group on facebook too http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=253887616903.
I thought may as well use the local thread to publicise their benefit and they have a justgiving page too. Literally in the space of a weekend they have got over 3000 followers on facebook and were on the radio this evening and are featured in an article in the guardian.
If you know of anyone that wants to give raffle prizes or provide any help get in touch with the guys and gals. Its great to see people getting off their a*s*s*e*s to help.
OK, Public appeal message over!!

Got my ticket for this event. Think what the guys and girls have done around this is amazing. @belfast4haiti5k fun run is on tomorrow, registration from the O-zone. Dame Mary Peters and Gerard McCarthy (Kris) from Hollyoaks are involved. If any last minute runners are out there or you just want to contribute to a good cause, its not too late. Starts at 11am.
@belfast4haiti has sold over 900 tickets in 10 days for their gigs though some tickets are being sold at the door.
If any artists are out there please get in touch via facebook - they are looking for donations. heARTS for haiti.
They are numerous other gigs all over the country north and south, and even in glasgow. Thanks for reading and maybe contributing https://www.justgiving.com/belfast4haitiMFW 148 - Mortgage £121,000 1Jan11 / Mortgage £120,300 28Jan11 / £119,808 24Feb11 / £119,400 22 April11 / £119,089 29 May11 / £118,500 October110
