divorcee seeks mortgage advice

I am a divorcee and took out a mortgage with my ex-husband 2 years ago. Since then, he has not contributed a penny towards the repayments and , for obvious reasons, I would like his name to be taken off the mortgae. However, I have a CCJ and have spoken to my mortgage company but they will not entertain the idea. I have maintained the mortgage alone for the last 2 years and would like to know if this is correct and what my options would be.
