Has anybody got any recipes to make your own essential oils

I would love to try and make some oils particularly citrus based ones.
Any recipes or tips on how to make them at home would be so welcome
Try and do a good deed every day.

    Do you mean aromatherapy style essential oils? If you do it's a ridiculously complex process of extraction and distillation. You need a still and a small chemistry lab in your house.
    You can make a less potent version by doing this although it's not the same stuff and won't have the same effect.

    Sorry to hijack your thread, anyone know whats in the oils that are in the room scenters (the ones with wooden sticks in) as I can't find refills anywhere, just a whole new pack with new container, new sticks and new oil...I only want the oil

    There are various blends and I have a sneaking suspicion that they're not made from real essential oils at all. You could buy a couple of proper essential oils if you know which ones you like and blend your own. Vetivert is particularly delicious

    DPG (dipropylene glycol) plus fragrance oil.
