Have set myself up as an ambassador now! just set up my market place but not sure if it is working.
So far ive set up the account brought a domain and forwarded it, set up my Meta Tags (i hope!) Created a half completed FB business page and a Twitter account for a little free online marketing. Looking at sorting out the banners and buying some advertising space on a few baby forums i'm a member off!
Any tips and hints would be great

doesn't cost anything to set up a barefoot book page, only costs if you want your own domain name etc0

depends where you buy the domain name from0

well yes but on an average price of £2.95 - £2.99 per year minimum of 2 year order + Vat its around about £7 most places. I would personally recommened going with one of the large well known companies for buying your domain & make sure you actually own the domain rather than the host you buy it from. I am also an ambassador for barefoot books, as truly1 has stated it is free to join and you get a website and as has been said you can buy a domain name if you want something easier for people to use, which I have done.
Like any business you get out what you put in but if you only want to sell on-line to start with you can you just have to make sure you market your site, i.e on facebook, mums forums, local listings etc.
It may be helpful to join a team as you will get support from your team leader (just look at the profiles and pick one you like), but there is plenty of support in their forums and from HO.
