**UPDATE**
I've had it done!!
I kept changing my mind right up until geting into the room!!
It is quite painful, I can hardly eat anything, I have to drink tea through a straw, i cant face looking at my mouth without my falsies in just yet, but do you know what? Its already been so worth it because I can smile properly for the first time, probably since childhood!!
I have also decided that if the dental school cant or wont do my implants for me, I will get them done privately

Congratulations QOC .:D
Just to add. My NHS dentist has extracted two lower front teeth last week and fitted a temp plate .(awful thing). In 3 months time he is replacing this with a bridge at the NHS rate. He is also fitting another bridge in the side of my mouth at the NHS rate in April.
I was a private patient with another Dentist for over 8 years and my NHS dentist is very angry with the work that was done.
He cannot understand why in his words " instead of treating the underlying problem he has constantly been patching up the affected teeth"..
Off to use the Polygrip again!
