The" i wanted it so i bought it" (on credit) diary

Hi all:hello:

Well this title is the reason i'm starting this diary i owe £14,000:o
Whatever i wanted went on cards or loans,
I'd get bored so i'd order stuff on credit be it clothes/shoes/ stuff for kids anything basically to get my 'fix'.

I am a shopaholic who loves buying stuff i've seen in mags and tv, and i wanted so i went out and got it.

Then i'd get home with all my purchases, all smiles and excited without thinkin about 'paying for them' then get home and feel so ashamed!
BUT
I will be debt free before i'm 30!

Anyway plan for this week( small steps)

1, Don't add to my debt
2 ,Don't buy clothes/shoes/magazines/general crap i don't need!
3, No lattes/chocs from shop
4, Leave my card at home and use the £20 i have left in my purse! (only if needed)

Today i spent £68 in supermarket and bought loads of reduced stuff, so i hope to have enough to last till end of next week.

I bloody hope this keeps me 'on the straight and narrow' big sigh:think:

  • Good luck. Have been embracing the MSE lifestyle myself now for about 18 months, and you come to realise there's just so much stuff you don't need, though would be mad to say it's not hard . Avoid temptation and do other things to make you feel good instead. Hard, as you get so accustomed to shopping as a leisure activity, but there is so much else out there waiting for you to enjoy. Good luck!

    Todays update

Decided to stay in and do some housework, not spent any money but did sign up for valued opinions and also one poll and made £2.60.

Also have some new tops to put on ebay, would take them back to shop but 2yr old has a habit of stealing the reciepts!! (my bad for leaving them where she can get them)

    Still on a good note.

    i haven't wasted any £'s today
    i'm £2.60 up
    my house looks/smells cleaner!!
