Free Eye test

Any news on free eye test offered by Tesco/Specsaver/Boots opticians?
Haven't got any D&A stores nearby, and their free online offers seem to be changed into a half price test now..
I think I am quite seriously short-sighted (+9.5 one and a half year ago, may be even higher now) If it involves complex lense(+10) Illt get the eye test free but I am not sure whether it's that bad.
Will I get charged at Tesco if it is found to be +10? Because they don't seem to offer NHS tests.
Not sure if Tesco Magazine Jan issue has any coupons for free eye tests? anyone?

The Tesco free magazine Jan/Feb does have a free sight test coupon on page 3. Its valid until 28 February 2010. The coupon states subject to availability, excludes NHS sight tests. Phone 0845 601 3479 to book your free appointment.
I assume that IF you already know that you are entitled to a free NHS sight test, they would rather you claim from the NHS, rather than having a free sight test on them.0 -

Probably because it causes major problems if you then go onto use the NHS to claim money off glasses, as OH found out the hard way at D+A (who told him to use his D+A voucher over his NHS entitlement, then wouldn't let him use the NHS amount off the glasses as he didn't have an NHS prescription. He ended up going to Specsavers and getting the eye test redone a week later as D+A werent budging)
Loads of mags in my local, it's only come out this past fortnight.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
