Remortgaging when Self Employed

I am new to this site, but have been reading a lot of good advice from you guys for a while. So now its my turn to ask a question and hoping that you can help me out.

I am currently employed and have been with the same employer for 4 years. My husband is the main breadwinner and has been with his employer 21 years. From this month I will be going self employed, but from September we will need to remortgage as our term in our current mortgage ends and payments will increase an extra £65 per month.

Based on 3.75 times our income, will they take into the fact what I earn self employed, even though I would have only been self employed for a couple of months. With just my husbands we will be about £20,000 less than we need for our current mortgage. So could get about £90,000 mortgage, not the £110,000 that we need. So really need them to take my earnings into account.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
