What's this about?
HMV is rejigging its download site for an imminent relaunch. As part of this it's going to be turning off downloads on hmv.com meaning you won't be able to access any previous digital purchases after 26 Jan.
Back up now
While this won't effect any downloads you have stored on your mp3 player, it does mean if you were to lose them from your mp3 player you'd not be able to access the back up from hmv.com, so back up now.
How to do it:
1.
Sign in to My Account at hmv.com
2.
In the hmv digital section, click on digital purchase history
3.
Select the MP3s you want to back-up and click “re-download music”
4.
The download manager will now appear. In this you'll have options to choose/change the destination that your downloads will be saved to. Once you're happy select the 'save changes' button.
5.
Your titles will now begin to transfer, and once completed will be saved to your chosen destination.

Your files will now be saved and backed-up on your PC.
