3 or 4 eggs then their weight (in shells) of sugar, marg and flour.
cream the sugar and marge togeather
fold in the eggs 1 at a time with a tablespoon of flour.
fold in remaining flour.
divide between 2 sponge tins, or pop in to one
from what I remember its cooked for 20 mins at gas 4 ( when a cocktail stick poked in the centre comes out clean, its cooked)It matters not if you try and fail, and fail and try again; But it matters much if you try and fail, and fail to try again.

I do pretty similar to wogglemaker, except instead of weighing the eggs I just use 2 oz (50g) of butter and sugar per egg, and then for flour I do 2oz per egg PLUS and extra 1oz
So for example if I was doing a 3 egg mix I would use 6oz butter 6oz sugar and 7oz flour. Also some vanilla extract always makes it tastier!
And make sure that once you've put the cake in the oven you don't open the door until time is up because otherwise the cake will sink! xx0 -
