CSA help needed regarding backdating, and compensation

After a year of doing nothing (due to system errors) the CSA finally contacted my exh and calculated he should be paying £52 pw.
However, the next letter containing the payment schedule stated that as they were unable to work out what he liable to pay straight away the three months they can backdate it (to when they contacted him) they have ask him to pay £408.
Does anyone know what this means? Surely if he is liable for £52 a week, the backdated should be £660 odd for three months?
Also, the second issue is potential compensation for the year they did nothing. The CSA have already admitted fault and told me I should be eligible for compensation for the year they didn't process the claim. Would I be unreasonable to expect to claim the £52 a week I have missed out on for the past year?

You can contact ICE, and your MP, you can also write to the Special Payments Team. If you go to ICE you have to go through the CSA, do this in writing and send it signed for. Your caseworker, will give you the adress of the Special Payments Team. Don't expect a fortune as you will be disapointed!
