Gas engineer training at Met Uk

Hi there

I am new to this forum but will really do with some help and advice.

My husband is considering starting a gas engineering course at Met Uk. He has some experience with heating, pipes etc and thinks this might be a suitable career change course. I am worried that the fee of £6000 will consume all our savings and adding that he'll have to permanently leave his current job to devote himself into stadying doesn't make it better.
Please does anyone knows something about Met Uk or has been studying there and can give me some feedback.
From the little i found it doesn't sound as good as it was promised to be as it seems it all depends on the work placement you get.
Please help us. The course starts next week and we are still wandering what to do.

Thank you all!
