Getting first mortgage when just changed jobs

Hi,

I was wondering whether anyone had any info or advice. I'm looking to get my first mortgage for a shared ownership so I would only need a mortgage of £60,000 or less. The problem is I used to work seasonally which meant I had gaps between employment but a month ago I just started a permenant job on £14,000 a year salary. Do you need to have been in the same job for 6 months minimum to get a mortgage or is it possible to get a mortgage if I show them my contract so they can see its permenant and can see my salary? Although my last job was seasonal I went straight into this job from that one so can show payslips for every month since March 2009.

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks
