In the past it was possible to send off for vouchers; you could choose which of a number of retailers you wanted - Argos was one, also Debenhams I remember, you paid £45 & got £50 worth of vouchers for the store of your choice.
Now I want to get some, but search as I might, I can't find any reference to them, so does anyone have a name or link, or know anything?
TIA, Barbara.

I get free membership through my union - no idea what it costs normally.0 -
I think there used to be a company that sold "Choice" vouchers, when you bought in bulk you saved so much %. That company went into administration earlier this year, IIRC. Don't know if that's what you're thinking of?

The 'Thanks' button seems to have disappeared again, but many thanks to you both for your replies.
I don't think it was either of those that I was thinking about though....0 -
if you have got a lloyds tsb visa card they let you use points to buy argos and other vouchers at 10% discount.their points were not really any good for doing anything else with so try them.0

Yes, I used to have a TSB account & did use my points for Argos vouchers - the only thing that seemed worthwhile, as you say.
Trouble is, I saw this other site, the one I can't now find, and as the LloydsTSB card wasn't offering much else, I cancelled it!0 -
There are High Street Vouchers as well. Someone in your work might do them or you can buy them online:

You only get what you order though - no extra ones.
Argos is included.Everybody dies, but not everyone truly lives0 -
Are you sure Argos is included? Not according to this http://www.love2reward.co.uk/consumer/gift-vouchers/shopping-voucher-spend-list.asp, or maybe High Street Vouchers and Love2Shop vouchers are different things?0

Love2Reward seems to be a Employee Incentive thing which is separate from Love2Shop. If you click here: http://www.highstreetvouchers.com/2004v/php/vouchers/hsgv.php this clearly shows Argos is included.Everybody dies, but not everyone truly lives0 -
Discounted vouchers used to be available from Farepak, but then they clamped down on unauthorised use of their facilities :S and you can't do it anymore.
As posted earlier, Choice vouchers also went into administration which doesn't help.
Some cards offer discounted vouchers - Morgan Stanley certainly do. But they are restricted to a few shops (including Argos) at a 5% discount: http://www.interfil.co.uk/vouchers/shop.asp is the link but it is meant for Morgan Stanley cardholders only.0
