Yoghurt maker help

Sorry for asking so many questions recently, I'm just trying to figure everything out and you guys are so helpful!
Ok so this time I want to know about yoghurt makers...
The two main types I've heard of are easiyo and an electric one, so my first question is how does each one work?
And I've had a little look in lakeland and a easiyo with starter pack and an electric yoghurt maker are both £20, so which one would be better value and what are the approx costs of making yoghurt in each, what methods does each use, and just anything else that might be useful to someone who doesn't know much about yoghurt making! xx

Don't know about the electric yoghurt marker but I use the Easiyo method. Basically you mix the powdered contents of an easiyo sachet with cold/tepid water in a litre plastic container. You put a plastic "baffle" inside the flask, fill the flask up to a certain level with boiling water and then put the lidded container full of the yoghurt mixture on top of the baffle, so that the water level rises up around it to a certain level inside the flask. You then put the screw top lid on the flask and leave for 7 - 12 hours to set. Once it's set you remove the inner container holding the yoghurt and store it in the fridge. All very simple.

This isn't a criticism, but have you read this thread  It might help you to start using the search facility, so that you can find out broad answers to your queries, then you can ask specicfic questions :D

Have you asked your mum and dad - 13 years old seems to be awfully early to start making such decisions ;)
