Definitely something to look into, but the deals tied into the phone and internet. If I'd known that some of the providers etc would want things 6 months in advance I would have budgeted a bit differently, and we probably wouldn't have some of the debt we have right now.
Total debt at lightbulb moment (Jan 2010): £23410
    Target for Dec 2011: £17000
    Lloyds - Early Jan: £[STRIKE]2040[/STRIKE] Feb: £[STRIKE]2050[/STRIKE] Mar: £0
    Other Lloyds @ highest: £9800 Feb: £9800

    Current debt: £23420
  • OK. I got a letter today from Barclaycard saying they can't increase my current limit of £2100.
This is just confirmation of a request I made earlier in the month, but I was just wondering if anyone else has had problems increasing the credit limit on Barclaycard, and know how to get around this problem.
I always make regular payments, although in the last few months I have lowered the Barclaycards direct debit, I regularly pay much more than the minimum each month aside from the direct debit. Anyone have any ideas as to why I have been refused the increase?
I'd love to move my debt onto a low APR LOTB card like this one, but am at my wits end with Barclaycard.

  • Internet/cable/phone total now will be anything between £50 and £67 a month. Yay!
