Good value haircut in London ...

Does this exist?!
By good value, I mean under about £35 - and even that makes me wince a bit as I type it! I've tried a few colleges and trainees in places I've lived in over the last few years and wouldn't rule this out, but my experiences have been a bit variable so I'd love to find a consistently good, but not outrageously expensive, hairdresser that I can build up a good relationship with :-)
I can get anywhere in London but work in EC2 ...

Keep an eye on the "spa" sales on last minute.com . I have got a voucher for a cut & blow dry at the sens spa in hilton park lane, for a tenner. I am going to go there over the next few weeks.
I also got the buyagift hair cut vouchers with the hair group but im not confident in this cut materialising for some reason ( it was free) Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -
Ooh, thanks Lynzpower, I hadn't thought of that! Will have a look over on lastminute.
I sent off a voucher from a magazine for a Hair Group cut a couple of years ago but never heard from them, and couldn't get anywhere by chasing it. I sent another one off a few months ago and same thing - nothing! I've read others with the same story on here, but also some who have had a really good experience with the HG, so it sounds a bit luck of the draw! Hope it works out for you :-)0 -
I'd chase the HG if I were you- others seem to have had things turn out well so theres no reason you can't too.
I'd say supercuts tend to have lower priced cuts, salons are at many stations- maybe try Liverpool St for one? http://supercuts.co.uk/salondetail/default.asp?salonid=30013&searchAddr=london&searchRadius=0 -

Also look out on here. I have been to Michael barnes and thought it was really good ( we had a voucher but its first time only)

I go to a Japanese place in Soho called B-zar
http://www.b-zar.com/
£35 for a cut and blow dry. The place is a bit no-frills but they do a really good cut and blow dry in my opinion (best I've had).0 -
a few of us go to imenio at high street ken, £20 for a dry cut and £30 (i think) for a cut and blow dry0

Thanks! Lots of good ideas there! Please keep them coming as I can't be the only one needing advice on this :-)

Saks Academy! I had a half head of highlights followed by a toner and then a cut for £23 and the service was excellentNever argue with an idiot; they'll bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.0

Thanks for all the ideas - on the advice of a friend I've just been and had my hair cut at Francesco Picardi on Old St (he also has a salon in the West End). If you look on the website you can get 50% off your first visit - I just got a lovely cut and blow dry for £30. Would definitely recommend him.0

Good luck booking that - they have almost no availability. Plan on waiting 6 weeks - 2 months for a slot.... I had to waste my voucher, as I'm now out of the country for a year. Rip-off central, and to be honest, given the manager's attitude when I emailed to complain, I'm relieved I didn't let them cut my hair.If at first you don't succeed, then sky-diving isn't for you
