    can you claim jsa if you are working 3 hours a week? Or do you have to give up the bit of work you have?

    he can't claim income based till I'm actually redundant.

  • Dunno. But by signing on (even for nothing) he'll get a nil assessment now. So do you want the current CSA assessment to bankrupt you/make you homeless while you wait for their assessment to catch up with your current reality or do you want to stop the situation getting worse. The CSA will only change the assessment on certain grounds. Signing on is one of them and, from what you tell us, the only one available to you now.

    You don't say how much he pays the CSA currently but from the sounds of it that £20 he currently earns doesn't make much difference. Better to get them off your back now until he's earning again.
