Debt Free Companies not as helpful as they advertise

Can somebody help. I have been paying off my debt through a debt management company (dmc) who have been taking 15% of what I pay as fees to arrange a payment plan. They have over the last year either missed payments to my creditors or paid them late even though I pay them on the first of every month + I have never missed a payment to them. I have recently had threatening letters from my various creditors saying that I have been charged huge amount of money because the payments have either arrived late or not at all. I have gone back to the dmc and told them that they have to refund me the money as they have obviously miss managed my account. They have basically told me that it is not their problem and that I must get the money back from my creditors. My creditors say that it is the dmc that have not been sticking to the agreement that was set up. I feel the dmc are wrong and are abusing their position and further more I feel they really do not care and are not being helpful in anyway especially as they are not taking responsibility as I actually end up paying them £90 a month for a service I am not getting. Is there anyway I can get them to refund me the money.....please help

First of all, move your debt management plan. Then quantify your losses and gather your evidence and then take it to the small claims court.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0

As DV says move to one of these free providers who do not take a fee http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=2077631
Then I think you need to write to DMC requesting a full breakdown of all payments they have made on your behalf (including dates) and all charges they have charged you.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0
