travel vouchers wedding list

a little advice needed....
we are asking for vouchers for our honeymoon as wedding presents.
i know a lot of travel agents have this service, my problem is that we wont be booking a honeymoon until we know how much we have. were getting married at the end of July and are looking to go on our honeymoon the end of Aug/start of Sept. in true MSE style we would like to get the best deal around, but dont know if we will get this if we go with a specific travel agents.
we would prefer to have a "list" and not just ask for money.
does anyone know if theres such a service but allows you to spend the money at whatever travel agents/holiday company you would like?
Thanks

  • We have a similar problem to this and also because if we dont get enough money in vouchers, we will have to use them in a certain amount of time and we cant afford to "top" the money up so we would lose all the voucher money! SO we are going to bite them etiquette bullet and ask for cold hard cash!
Baldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?

ive been looking online and there is a few companies that offer a "cash gift list" but the prices they charge you for access to the money you are given is silly.
my partner has already said that we should just ask for cash, i didnt want to but it looks like it will be inevitable for us to get the honeymoon we want at a good price
  • I'd just ask for the cash, and say what it's going towards. It's no different than getting the vouchers, saves them going to buy them/buying from the wrong shop, and gives you more flexibilty.

ask for the cash - why ask for something you dont want.

we are - we arent embarrased - our family and friends are more than happy to help us have an amazing honeymoon.

  • I went into their branch and sorted it...I only found out about it because they had a sign outside my local branch.
