What do you all use soda crystals for? I've got some but wondered what people do with them. :think:0

I don't use them a lot but they're great for clearing stinky sinks. Also I add some to my washing as a 'booster' - I find that I can use less washing powder when you add soda crystals to it. They're also a great degreaser.0 -
I shall put some in my wash tonight, thanks for that Gingernutmeg.0

Lots of uses on this site: http://www.dri-pak.co.uk/soda-crystals.html or download the booklet here: http://www.dri-pak.co.uk/downloads/soda_leaflet.pdf
Personally, my favourite use is spreading them on paths, patios or drives where moss or green algae have started to grow. Kills the green stuff and seems to stop it coming back. Easier than pressure washing and doesn't leave the path as slippy.0 -

69p in Boyes (yorkshire area)0

I work in the paint industry, and a lot of raw material prices have shot up because increased demand from the far east is outpacing production, so I'm guessing soda crystals price rise could be for same reason."We could say the government spends like drunken sailors, but that would be unfair to drunken sailors, because the sailors are spending their own money."
