Are there any reviews anywhere, can't tell from the picture how sturdy it is.

we had these same slegdes ( but in pimk )

my and my daughters used them for more then 15 hours in the last 2 weeks, at times at night on really fast ice

my 6yr old would hit bumps that others had built as ramps

the last night we built a ramp and i hit the ramp and the small circle ( where the sledge leaves the mould ) it popped out and the next time i hit the ramp the sledge cracked

    i am 16 and 1/2 stone though

they are well built and next year i will by 2 more for the girls
  • on a side note of this, i found the place they buy them from in china, 3.60 each when you buy 100 plus, buy 500 and you get free delivery
  • Yip, that's right, £4 each wholesale!

Got one of these just before xmas on ebay from a business seller who had a lot (blue & pink) & sold them at £9.99inc delivery. Have gone & had a look now but they dont seem to be on there now.The sledges are fine we have been to many different locations sledging with it on large steep hills etc on ice/snow like mentioned i think they are only going to crack if you are not using them very sensibily(hitting ramps etc )After been caught out without one for the last few years i was quick to try get one this year i rang round everywhere local first (supermarkets/DIY'S/hardware stores)as soon as snow was forecast before it came & asked for sledges & they where laughing at me! like i was asking for something ridiculous, it was me laughing a few days later thinking of all them snooty sales staff in the snow maybe thinking of our conversation!I say get one, there like gold dust the minute the flakes fall from the sky!.

I would have to add my own review on this sledge as we bought one of these in a local hardware store. The bits that you pull it along on (sorry, can't think of the technical word) are at a funny angle and they just stop without sloping off, when pulling the little ones on this it caught every lump of snow and it juddered and stopped and started - I had to stoop to pull it without it doing this and I am only 5ft 2!! it was horrible to pull compared to the the other one we have that glides really well in the snow. I was really disappointed.

I'd not buy another of these to be honest, they go OK when you get there I suppose but if your kids want you to pull it with them on it, or if you have shopping on it, it is horrible.

PS. I heard that we are going to get snow til the end of Feb this year, quite frequently. We have more snow forecast for this week as well but we shall see.

Blue Monkey- Agree with what you said about pulling it /stooping in the snow i'm the same height & had the same problem jutting on clumps of snow with my son in it (been years since i pulled a sledge (my childhood) so wasn't sure if this is just what happened.) But i did notice it struggeled when you pulled in the powdery snow but fine when it got icier. Was great for whizzing down hillls etc though suppose its a case of what you are mainly going to use it for pulling kids as a mode of transport etc maybe not but for flying down hills fine!.
