Quick question I hope someone can help me. I recently bought a new dressing gown for £30 out of my bd money. A very nice dressing gown! I put it on and within an hour I could feel loads of static and was crackling as I moved. I tried washing it but still static and giving myself electric shocks - ouch they hurt! Now gave it too mum and popped and got another in the primani sale - a lovely leopard print. I have had it on for an hour and you guessed static and crackling again! I never had this prob before and I love my snuggly dressing gowns - any ideas??? cheers:D

Have you got nylon carpets?
Have your slippers got plastic soles?
Are the dressing gowns synthetic?
Nylon fibres do produce static. I would try getting some natural fibres - possibly.0 -
Put it through the wash with just softener/conditioner and when you wash it in future put softener in every time. Works for me and I'm really staticmake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

I get this problem with mine sometimes. I assumed that dressing gowns were made of cotton, but discovered that a lot of them are 100% polyester. I used to dry mine in the TD, but have now stopped drying anything which is 50% or more polyester as they always come out very clingy.0
