What are you on about, indemnity from prosecution? Prosecution from who?

OP, any chance of answering this question?

S/He is obviously alluding to, and confusing several issues, the reports where, as reported in the press, some local councils have warned residents about clearing snow/ice.

The councils have stated that should someone clear the hazard but do it negligently and someone is injured they may be liable.

They will not, however, be "prosecuted" as, if anything they have committed a tort (civil breach) and they did not have the mens rea (intent) to commit a crime. Possibly they could be sued, but this is a danger in the febrile minds of the feeble minded and very stupid council officers.
  • Are you aware that some people don't go to work to make friends!!

    Of course :)

It's the title of a book/film. I thought it was funny, and it sprung to mind :)

I'm personally not 'proper' friends with my colleagues (except one), but I still wouldn't go out of my way to land them in a mess, even if I suspected they were taking liberties. I'm a mere worker, not the employment police. Unless a colleague's action had a direct impact on the quality/quantity of my work, or the security of my own employment, I'm quite happy to turn a blind eye to their misgivings. It's not my job to discipline them, or to snitch, and that's fine by me.

I always think that colleagues who are lazy/uncooperative/take the p!ss will be found out, somehow, some way. It's happened before, and it's bound to happen again.

My boss was bcc'd in on each email I sent, and 2 people (complete p155 takers) have already been disciplined as a result,

What a nasty piece of work you are. I bet you are as nice as pie to their faces while trying to your fellow workers into trouble. Lets hope for their sake that you never get promoted.
