Hi Mrs A,
There are some ideas of things to make on this older thread: Ideas for pressies.
You may get more help with this on the Families board. Let me know if you want me to move it over there.

I teach in a pre-school as well as having a three year old of my own, I think anything pink and sparkly would go down well! Handbags also seem to be popular. Early learning centre have some lovely fairy stuff at the moment - stickers and glitter glue sets for £3 up to a pop up fairy tent For £25 depending on what you want to spend.:p:snow_laug HM Christmas 2010

How about putting together a cooking set. I've done it before by getting some of those packet mix cookies and a buying some Tesco value baking wear. Like a flat tray, a muffin tray, some muffin cases, a rolling pin and a bowl etc etc.
But it depends upon whether you or her mum wants to help doing the baking.:D"A banker is a fellow who lends you his umbrella when the sun is shining, but wants it back the minute it begins to rain." Mark Twain0 -
great replies thanks
her mum would definately not help with her with cooking or baking

What about getting her a photo album and a disposable camera - you could help her take pics and later put an album together of her birthday - something to keep forever! Or giving her any spare photos you have of her mum or dad growing up and of the rest of the family to help make scrapbook (with lots of pink and sparkly stickers, etc.). My nieces favourite photo is one of her where she is 'hiding' (ie, still in her mother's pregnant tummy).
Whatever you give her, grandparents are usually onto a winner as favourite members of the family!0 -
Hello,
My 3 1/2 year old loves dressing up. So if you wanted to make something, fabric scraps with poppers to make cloaks, or sew it into a tube and add some elastic/velcro etc to make skirts etc.... The sparklier the better!
Also woolworths have some good dressing up clothes at the moment - ranging from about £5-£15?
