your link doesn't work, think it may be this - http://www.eventsmiles.co.uk/

Sure they are good for those with NO time, but i have to say, the contents could be picked up mostly in the poundshop (colouring books, crayons, stickers etc) and other things (toys etc) picked up cheap in Tesco etc....i reckon you could probably do these for a good few quid cheaper yourself and put them into a covered shoebox etc .... okay a bit more time is needed, but overall you'd save money and could make it much more personal for each child.....ie my little boy of 5 HATES most characters 5 year olds are suppoed to love lol but thinks teenage mutant ninja turtles are the dogs *******! So i would personalise a little bit.....
But useful for those with no time at all as i said xxxBaldrick, does it have to be this way? Our valued friendship ending with me cutting you up into strips and telling the prince that you walked over a very sharp cattle grid in an extremely heavy hat?0 -

which boxes are you using from ikea? I have bought some small packs of pencils from tesco, they have 10 pencils in each and were 19p a pack. not sure what i am going to use to pack the stuff in or what else i can put into it.!! I want to make them unisex though so dont need to worry about them all getting mixed up.would love to win an ipad!

I thought about using tupperware containers from a cheapy poundland type place - you can usually get about 3 for a £1 ish.....then i am going to pop a sheet of stickers in, pencil crayons, mini colouring books (also from poundland lol - you could just print out pics tho of internet) i am then gonna get mini (fake!) lego car building sets which i have seen in loads of the cheapy pound shops for about £1.25 and pop them in ( i dont have any children under 4 before u all say "small parts" LOL!), maybe little hairslides or something girly for the girls, and then also some other bits and bobs u can pick up for cheap - mini jigsaws, some sweets etc! All told, i don't expect to spend more than about £4 on each "BOX".... I am going to cut their names out of cheap wrapping paper and then stick them onto the boxes (these will be put on their seats lol...not on my lovely tables!! LOL!!) so they have a vague idea whose is whose!Baldrick, does it have to be this way? i got mine a while again in a sale £1 for 4 boxes :money:which boxes are you using from ikea? i got pink and blue ones as i have 3 kids of my own
they are like these but pink and blue
http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/80112895
so in the pink ones ill put some girly things in and the blue ones boys but nothing that will make the kids want to run round lol
these boxes come in 3 sizes so im useing the med size like a show box sz and ill just put my finishing touches to it ie:ribbon butterflys0 -
i have done sets of stuff for all the kids
I got some gift bags in town the other day in a sale for 75p
and I have filled them with all sorts, colouring book and pencils, bubbles, mask or tiara, twisted straw thing, yoyo, stickers, puzzles, napkins etc etc
i have personalised them a bit too, and done them 'aged' so the real little ones have got a cuddly toy, the slightly older ones have got games they can play together, and the older ones (2 girls) have got some jewellery making stuff and some hair stuff
then there is one teenager...which has been troubling me lol but I have come to a decision, she is quite creative and loves taking photos etc, so I am giving her a disposable camera and a photo album and telling her to take lots of photos of her day for me, then ill get them processed and we can have a set each
i know she will like that
I got gold bags as its the best I could find to go with my colour scheme lol
I am going to do each kids name on the bag too so there can be no confusion over whos is whos
ive really enjoyed putting them together, and no doubt ill add a few more bits before the dayMarried on 5th March 2010still lurking on the wedding board tho :rotfl:0
