If a husband leaves all to his wife is it necessary to go through Probate???
It's your money. Except if it's the governments.

I do know of a widow, with the savings in joint names, who just carried on regardless; when her husband died.
Caused a bit of extra expense and hassle for her only child when mum died though and the house was put on the market.0
