They may take any money you hold with them on the day of the bankruptcy to offset against the debt.
They can not take anything deposited after the bankruptcy orderHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

the whole story is the account had a payment going into it that i couldnt get in touch with the people who were sending the money to cancel and each month the bank were adding overdraft interest to the account meaning i couldnt take any of the money, so technically they havnt offest it against debt they have used it to cover that months charges but after bankruptcy should all charges and interest have stopped?
if so is there any way i can get thay money back? they now know about the bankruptcy and have frozen all accounts0 -

did the money go into the bank before or after the bankruptcy order.Hi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

after, on the first of every month but the interest was also added on that date so could never withdraw the money0

If the money went in after then they should give you it back, they had no right to confiscate it or use it to pay anythingHi, im Debtinfo, i am an ex insolvency examiner and over the years have personally dealt with thousands of bankruptcy cases.

so they have now frozen the account presumably before they write them off, do you think they will automatically send the money back to me or can i ring them about it?
thank you for your help so far0 -
IF its going into an account thats been included in your bankruptcy and AFTER your bankruptcy monies are still going in as debtinfo said this is wrong.....you need to contact your official receivers office and let them deal with it from now
I doubt the bank will send you the cash without asking..We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0
