Food Inventory Help

After a couple of months procrastination, I have this evening done a written inventory of my food stores and am staggered how much stuff I have in!! I was going to go to Tescos too!! Anyway I am going to do the menu plans tomorrow, but I found a large (well more like HUGE) piece of smoked haddock which I got reduced in Tesco on 15 April and froze on same day, and I don't know if I should throw it out or whether or not it will be okay? What do you think? Normally I would throw it out but it was £6 reduced (it weighs nearly 2 kilos!!) and if it is still okay I will have to for main meal tomorrow and also make kedgeree with it for Sunday. I also found some prawns unopened with a sell by date of 2007 on them but they are all iced up inside - does that mean they have gone off? I also have loads of boxes of Micro chips which I bought bogof and which no-one will eat as they say they are rank - any ideas?

The smoked haddock should be fine, I used some yesterday that had been in the freezer since March. If the sell by date on the prawns is 2007, then they should be ok too. Most food is fine kept in the freezer sort of indefinitely, it will just be the texture/quality that will deteriorate.

No real idea of what to do with the micro chips.......could you cook them in the oven with a little sunflower oil to make them taste more like chips?
