Star drops discontinued?

Tried to buy some stardrops cleaner in my local savers today and was told its been discontinued and i won't get it anywhere......why? is this true? It was always hard to get hold of anyway....today i checked savers, wilkinsons and waitrose.

I saw some in our local Asda yesterday but it seemed to be twice the price I have paid for it in the past.

My guess is that it is in that particular chain as there is plenty available in the local shops I usually buy it from and no mention of it being discontinued.

OUr savers is having a complete store overhaul and are currently stocking a lot less stuff but I am told this will be rectified.. didnt enquire as to Stardrops tho as nobody on my area stocks it anyway.

I do recall a discontinued type scare re Stardrops on these boards last year sometime - turned out to be a relabelling...

I shouldnt think so Alison as thanks to MSE the company never had it so good... tbh in all my years I had never seen or heard of it til joining MSE so we have turned an obscure product to one in demand . do come back and let us know if you get an answer..

i buy my stardrops in iceland - they always have loads.

I know Stardrops have a whole thread paying homage to them on this site but I swear its just washing up liquid. However as a truly frugal person I will finish the bottle before switching brand
