You cannot try to spin record rightmove traffic as anything other than positive for the property market though.
On the contrary, I see this as positve news that a lot of new sellers coming on to the market

It will be interesting to see if the market starts moving again - I'm not seeing any evidence of that here though. Having finally bought again last summer (after renting for 4 years) we're definitely not interested in either buying or selling but I've started checking Rightmove again just for fun - old habits die hard

There is absolutely nothing new for sale in our area/price range, only the same old properties - in some cases they've been on for several years, including several that we made offers on. I admit it does make me feel a tad smug and also reinforces our conviction that we did extremely well to secure our current house at a good price (entirely because of our position as cash buyers).0
