  • It doesnt take them off on line. But they will have been deducted once they have gone through checkout, before they reach your home.

Hi, don't worry that's normal. Discounts will be taken off and show on the receipt that comes with your shopping. (though best to check it to make sure all the offers have come off as they do make errors sometimes). I remember panicking when I did my first online shop!
  • Mind you you will probably find that with the multibuys they mysteriously only have one left in stock so you can't get the multibuy discount. Or maybe that's just my experience - so many times that I've given up with multibuys.
  • Thanks lovelys.

    Never noticed it before

  • The Offers (Multibuy etc.) are only relevant to your delivery time, not ordering time.

So say you order some 3 for 2 products on a Monday for a delivery on Friday, if the offer finishes on Wednesday, you won't get them 3 for 2. I think!

All a bit hypothetical if your order gets cancelled anyway due to the snow :money:

  • With the multibuys it's worth writing a note on the items to give alternitives/substitutions within the offer..at least you stand more of a chance this way.

That is right but usually before you checkout it tells you that the offer will finish on (whatever) date and gives you the choice of buy it anyway or delete the product, or it used to before Tesco changed its website but think they still do something along those lines.

I think there's an issue with the website. Since they changed the website, it takes the multibuys off as you shop so you can see the savings as you're putting things in your basket.

However I've just put several multibuys into my basket all of which are dated 13/01/10 - 02/02/10 for delivery on Monday (18/01/10) and for every promotion it is telling me that to take advantage of the offer I need to change my delivery slot to 17/01/10.

Don't know whether to risk it and hope it's a glitch and that the correct discounts will be applied in store or empty my basket and try again in a bit.

Edit: I'm an idiot - I had 2 things in my basket that did run out on 17th, hence the message!! Everything is working fine :embarasse
