Buff-if a year 7 pupil is getting levels 6A/B in Science,maths and English, would that count as G and T ?? Should they be getting extra work or is it normal?Debt-free...and staying that way...0 -

If they are set according to ability, then no cos in theory the classwork should be pitched at a higher level to suit that ability range. I mean if the kid is finishing every set them in a lesson then its fairly standard practice to given them more stuff to do to stretch them ( you know sweep up make tea, long division your tax return etc)
Being classed as G and T would depend on the definition of G and T at the school, ours has a gifted list (ie really bright kids) and talented kids ( who can do stuff like music dancing art drama etc)
Edited to add, a year 7 getting a level six IMPRESSIVE. bloody well done.

Ah, thanks for that Buff..they are streamed so that would explain it...she did say three of them in the form got 6B in the science test they sat recently.
