Hairdresser East Belfast.

So I'm slightly sick of paying a small fortune on a haircut but I don't want some dodgy 'do' either.

Any suggestions for a good hairdresser in East Belfast area who doesn't need to be booked 6 weeks in advance an won't charge the equivalent of a fortnights groceries??

Thanks in advance.

• I'd be interested in this as well. I've tried a lot of them in East Belfast and for one reason or another, wasn't impressed with any of them. Last time I went to Supercuts in Connswater and thought it was just as good a cut as I had at any of the other ones. Cheaper and no need to make an appointment!
• hi beccam- dont know if this would suit but i live in the east of the city too and whilst i was pregnant last year i was recommended a hairdresser that came out to our house (which seeing i couldnt move was v beneficial!!!)
She came out in the evening and cut and highlighted my hair- £45 in total (i thought this was really good considering i made the mistake of getting a CUT ONLY!! from a hairdressers on the belmont road and they charged me £50!!!!!!!!!!- dear God i nearly fainted lol)
Anyway, she has come out to me a few times and the best bit for me is that i dont have to wait for her to finish with other clients- so you dont have to spend time waiting on her (I'm an impatient cat at times:))
If you were interested in this, i could pm you details- and maybe you could get more info from her
Dont know if it suits but works for me:)

Hi Nozza, yes I'd be interested (especially since I'm now pregnant too!) so even if I fancy 'treating' myself to a salon cut right now I might be happier with a home cut in another couple of months time. A PM with details would be great thanks.
• I've been going to Wesley at Image for years - he's above Aldens on the Newtownards Road. No fancy frills in the salon, but a really good haircut/colour/perm and he doesn't charge a fortune!
• Hi, heres a mobile hairdresser that comes to you very cheap and very percise in her work did loreal shows appointments.herstylebydawn@yahoo.com blowdrys are just £10.

I also live in East belfast but I go to Vintage rock on the Newtownbreda road. Its amazing and you leave feeling so good - you even get tea and cakes :p I think it cost 28 pound for me to have a cut and have my hair curled for a night out.

Just trying to resurect this thread.....looking for a hairdresser in East Belfast or Belfast in General.
I have been going to the training school in belfast city centre but the last time they made a mess of my colour and it had to be redone 3 times......
I have grown it and am wanting a good cut and restyle.....something sharp as its all one length just past my shoulders.
Help ? also one that does not require me to remortgage my house...
thanks

I once went into the one in Castle Court for a 'dry cut'.

I asked if she would cut a few layers into it and was astonished when she said no because that would constitute a 'restyle' and cost twice as much.

How ridiculous.

I took my kids to the one in Ards.........never been back, 3 boys trims (one was only a fringe) and my wee girl cost me over £36  They Hacked at my daughters hair and when i pointed it out the girl ruffeled it and said it was fine!!! Took her to my normal hairdresser a week later and she was fuming, she asked if the girl had been actually trained....or was she a trainee!
Also went to peter marks in lisburn for a quote to get DDs hair trimmed about 1 inch......they wanted £29:eek:
